Anyone knows a program that edits/reads .TXT so I could interchange with Nokias?

The answer was just resently posted in Tips&Tricks.
Copy the file onto your K700 and it will end up in the "Other"-folder.
Select it and choose "Send". Select "Send as MMS". You will now see the text file's contents.

Have a nice day!

PEOPLE => NO NEED TO use book reader!

I donīt know if all this was discovered already but I tried and it worked!!!

# You can read .TXT files in MMS as said! GREAT!
# You can also write .TXT files:

- in MMS select the text until the left-select key says "text"
- edit the text as you wish
- press the back-key until it says "save MMS in undone?"
- answer YES

If you read the initial .TXT FILE in the Other Folder you see that the .TXT file was changed

If someone already said this "save" method my thanks, if not... thank you all for the bookreader, for the MMS read method and... no need to thank me for the "save method"

how do you get files in to the book reader then?

hi all

just go to http://tequilacat.narod.ru/dev/br/index-en.html
download last stable version (so called shell). it's windows program where you just add text files, set options and press "build" button. voila - you have a set of generated JAR files ready to be installed on the phone.

I just noticed that on the K750i you can simply send a .txt file over via Bluetooth and it will get saved in the the "Web Pages" folder. You can then read the file in the browser, plain and simple. No bookmarking within the file, and no editing, but a great way to store long reference notes, like frequent traveler numbers, internationall calling card access numbers etc. Neat!!

more on that tip - if you save excel documents as a webpage (ie: as html code), you can view the excel doc via saved webpages also!!

It only works with single sheet excel files, otherwise the phone says "cannot view frames"

Word documents also work well if saved as web pages.

Infact as long as you don't use frames, I'd guess just about any content saved as html will work.

I thought this thread was about the k700i! It seems to have shifted a bit...As already explained you can use the MMS functionality to read txt files and no other appz are needed
