K700i - Customize The Online Button |
Dovern Joined: Aug 20, 2003 Posts: 407 From: Malaysia PM |
Some of us might find the online button useless or rarely use it due to costly GPRS charges. Good new, now we can customize the button to something else, eg. SMS or call someone. Here the steps to customize it.
- Main Menu > Internet Services > More > Bookmark
- Create new bookmarks
- Title: SMS
- Address: SMS:
- Save it and then set the bookmarks as "Set Bookmarks as Homepage"
Done! Now try to press the online button and it should bring you to "Write Message" screen. Its very cool isnt it?

Really good idea but I can't get it to work.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? What settings do you think should be used to access the games menu? |

So far i only tried and work on SMS or calling someone.
if you wanna customize the btn to call someone, simply change the address to the phone number.

From Howard Forums
change your "homepage address" to this
wtai://wp/mc;phone_number
example - wtai://wp/mc;15551234567
and you'll be able to dial that number just by 1 button
here are some few other, but i found them useless
wtai://wp/mc Make a call
wtai://wp/sd Send DTMF Tones
wtai://wp/ap Add a new phonebook entry
wtai://vc/sc Setup a new call
wtai://vc/ac Accept an incoming call
wtai://vc/rc Release a call
wtai://vc/sd Send DTMF Tones
wtai://vc/cs Retrieve parameters for a specific call
wtai://vc/lc Retrieve identities for all calls
pdf with explanation of each and examples

I used this trick in my t610 before
Right after having my new k700i i tried it and it worked...but...the "sms:" makes the phone insert a blank number in the destination option, so you have to delete it before sending the sms...it spoils the trick a bit
Is there a way to prevent this from hapening?
