so, macs have market share so far with 66.6% and windows with 33.3% Bit of a suprise that, but since this is a survery based on 12 people it's probably not that accurate!

SE have a history now of working with Apple to ensure their phones and computers will synch - Apple even recommend SE phones - so I find it quite surprising that SE haven't included Macs in their online formware update system for their phones. Perhaps it's in the pipeline once they know this current system works. I like things that are well designed, easy to use, and look good - hence my liking for Macs and for SE phones. Not going to start the old Windows/Mac debate here, not the place for it, but I guess whatever this small survey says there are more Windows users out there than Macs, hence SE set the online update up for Windows first.
However, wonder if it would be possible to update the firmware via the SE website using Virtual PC with Windows on the Mac??!!

So, please post whether you are windows or mac, and I'll try to post ongoing statistics of the results. (oh, Linux users are exempt from this!)

Why not Linux users?

Apple eMacs running jaguar & Panther (!) & a P800.
Interesting results so far...
I hate the way SE treats us Mac users as irrelevant and I am grateful, if not surprised, that Apple has done much to fill the gaps.
@Del bite on an Apple; it might seem an odd thing to be simultaneously priveleged and discriminated but you'll never reret it!
@other Mac users: I am searching for a Mac forum on esato: anyone come across such a thing? how do we get one up?

@walcarpit
There's not a specific Mac forum but there's a Mac sticky right at the top of the General forum:
Apple Macintosh and Sony Ericsson issues
BTW, K700i and Mac OS X 10.3.5

@Jools,
many thanks.
I have no idea what the difference might be between a sticky thread and a forum, but thanks heaps for the link.
Been searching for ages: I knew I had come across one - perhaps b4 i signed up.
many distractions along the way; including a thread about skins, which appear to allow one to make the Px00s look, for example, like a Mac OSX desktop or even an iPod.
I'll try to add a link fwiw:
