1 mega pixal would also be great. |

@typ356
In other words you would like a North American version of the P910.

I have to admit that the one thing that really puzzles me is how SE imagines people will use the attached QWERTY keyboard; certainly they can't envisage two handed use of it unless the flip is very securely fastened to the device. Perhaps it is designed with on fingered typing in mind, although I wouldn't be too keen on that prospect either.
A better option would be to have better handwriting recognition software, as someone stated above. Of course if SE wanted to be very nice to their customers they could include a virtual keyboard ...

I'm sure SE could do better then just 1MP cam. I think we should see something in the 2-3MP range from them. Again, reason being there are tons of phones sold at half the price of a Pxxx with 3MP + built-in cameras. I currently have 3 phones with hi res cameras including a pre-paid one with 2MP cam that I used just for a couple weeks.

SE certainly could include a 2-3 MP camera, but the chances of them doing so aren't high. Europeans have a lower expectation of mobile technology than the Japanese or Koreans do, this is a result of the mobile manufacturers deliberately withholding the more advanced technology, releasing it first in Japan and Korea.

I've been a bit on the fence when it comes to handwritting recognition software and hand held devices. I'm not sure if it would be put towards much practical use. For example, I have had at least 6 different pocket PCs in the past 5 years and I don't think I really ever scribbled notes in them for any important documents. I think Calligrapher is probably one of the best handwritting recog- soft out there, but again I never really applied it to any real use. I personally think a keyboard is more practicle. Hence the reason why the digital pen really hasn't taken off. I have SE's CHA-30 BT chatpen and I must have only used it for a month. Great tool with killer potential, but everytime I pick up a pen to write I'd rather do it on a piece of paper. I waiting for the BT keyboards. This Querty keyboard is an excellent option as several consumers seem to be content with a tiny sized keyboard.

I have always used handwriting recognition much more than a keyboard when it comes to mobile devices, but I take your point. Personally I don't want a BT keyboard, it's just another thing to carry around with me, hence my suggestion of the virtual keyboard, although I would imagine that we are still quite a way from seeing these included as standard in mobiles.

well people, i've looked long and hard at the pics. First of all....i personally think the pics are fake (but everytime i say sumthin wont happen it usually does so it will probably b real) Reasons:
1. I think the design used is not very likely. I seriously doubt sony wud make the p910 design like dat its too close to the p900 design. the flimsy keyboard size (or lack of it) is jus unthinkable. y wud anyone use dat?
2. I dont kno if it was dun b4 but i hav neva known sony ericsson to 'release' or 'leak' a fone without given any specs. All i hav heard about the p910 is all rumours. Nobody knows anything certain for sure.
However it is possible dat sony ericsson 'released' these pics to give competitors the wrong ideas then release the real p910 on july 15th.
remember this is jus my OPINION |

@Marik,
Any reason why you tend not to write the correct spelling of words? Just a question, flame not required. |

kb looks too small (IMO) are you expected to hit the keys with a stylus or all grow finger nails (very hard as most people in IT chew their nails to their elbow!) |
