this is an almost exact worded script of how a phones4u salesman should sell u a phone. try it next time your in please note where it says reply you are told only to reply with the next line

picked a nice day for it.
silenceuntil customer says wat they want. also the salesman should try to get in between the customer and boards so the customer cant decide wat they want. thats the salesmans job.
regardless of wat the customer wants say this line without stopping for a reply
so you thinking about chjanging your phone, wat kind of phone do you have at the moment?
if they say a phone then u say lets have a look

take the phone from the customer and dont look at them instead look at the phone, pretend to clean it and look at it lovingly.

how many calls do u make a day?

at this point u repeat watever amount the customer said make eye contact and look shocked as if its an obsurd amount of money regardless of how much it is.

u look like your deep in thought.
tap the customer on the lower arm without looking at them and say follow me and walk to a desk without looking back, this is so the customer feels rude not following cos most people wont say know unless your looking at them.

once seated pull out a "cue sheet"
say to the customer how rude of me my names xxxxx wats yours.

pleased to met you agiain xxxxxxx this coment makes the customer think u know them from somewhere else and distracts them from the fact your selling them a phone

ask wat sort of features they like/dont like personal details and a budget always strat at a high budget like 300 pounds or something. if they say free act shocked as if free phones were non existent.

tell the customer you'll be back. go throughj the back of the shop and check the margins. these show you exactly how much money/gross profit a phone makes on each tarriff. a phone must make a certain amount depending on each store. ie a 6230 may say it costs 30 pounds on o2 200 and makes 200 pounds there fore fore you can discount the phone to nothing and still make a lot. most stores need to make 100 on a sale. the difference is basically how much the salesman has to play with to make this sale.

after you've decided go back with a phone thats shit (1100 was my fave) and one that fits as much of there needs but makes as much as possible. a slaesman will very rarely offer you a phone for free straight away. he'll normally try and add more on.

most salesman also will sell the phone for 25 pounds with 3 months free insurance. you are actually getting the phone 4 free and paying for the insurance check your receipt and they will hit u with an excuse that they had to reduce the phone cos insurance cant be reduced. if the customer isnt biting then they will be second faced where a manager will appear as if by magic ala mr benn. they will guilt trip you into buying it.

closing tools are used such as a triple pack. these contain a generic handsfree car charger and leather case. these are badly made and break easily. they also make money even if givin away cos it means the customer gets used to them and when they break will feel the need to buy a new one. they also give away ringtones/games/wallpapers. these are free because gain they make money for two reasons. 1 they get the customer wanting more of the product so they buy more and 2. they give your details on to other companies and make money where you will recieve spam and junk mail.

after the sale is completed and all the extras have been added you should be walked to the door and handed your bag becuse this advertises a happy customer.

also a phones4u salesman commision works as follows they get a % of the profit theyve made the company that month. 3% of the profit on contracts and 10% on payg. 10% on accesories whether free or not they'll get 10% of the seeling price.

also singlepoint and phones4u used to be the same company before vod bought them

( my apologies for spelling and such nut my keyboard is a wireless one and the backspace key isnt working well it sticks and deletes more than it should.the reciever is also playing up and it misses out letters and puts extra ones in and stuff. most are human error though)

another point is all customers are kept on there intranet sie and when the store is quiet you get told to phone them and get them into store or look through the phonebook and phone random people. both of these are illegal.

and if u ever want to upgrade your phone the network always does you a better deal. phones4u will try and sell you a new contract not an upgrade.

also if at all possible a salesman will take your phone through the back. read ur msgs and look at your photos, so if u have any unsavoury material get rid of it before u put the phone in for repair

I cant see anything really wrong, when 1st doing Telesales or chat lines you are given a script and providing you still get the same results you can adlib a little

its not so much the script part its the blatant lying bout how much phones are. the also non listening to the customer. i once heard my assist manager say the following.

Harsh but true, if you (the customer) don't know about the market or the products available, you are going to be taken for a ride by the salesman and end up with a product not good enough and pay more than the service provider in the shop next door.
