OK, here's one that will get the technicals out of most of you!! People have disscused the k700i and also settings for email, BUT, none of these really work because the settings are different for the k700i to that of t610/30 and p800/900. I need the o2 payg (300 free tx's & WAP) email settings WHICH ARENT GPRS, just basic wap so i can check my o2 email account by clicking send&recieve from the messaging menu. The o2 site is rubbish and doesnt have the settings for the k700i so i need you guys and gals cause you seem to know your stuff!
Please help |

Yep, but they have Genie instead of o2. My sim is (or was) genie but now that has all changed over to o2 so the settings are void. Ive even tried changing all the genie parts of the settings to o2 but that doesnt work either
Thankd for your help though mate, i just want email
please help me!! |

I have my K700 set-up in exactly the way you want = email over WAP GSM not GPRS. Here's what I did...
Go here: http://ota.o2.co.uk/O2UK/index.jsp
Choose: Sony Ericsson T610 (yes, I know its not K700!)
Enter your phone number
Choose the "Basic WAP" settings
Save the settings when they're received by your phone.
On the phone go to Messaging > Email > Settings > New Account
Enter all your e-mail account settings as supplied by your ISP
For "Connect using" use: O2 WAP GSM
For "Outgoing server" use: smtp.o2.co.uk
That's it! Works fine for me! |
