I've got some questions about the Moto e398.

1. Someone know when it will be released in Europe or In Turkey ??? <-- NO IDEA

2. will there be some 128 or 265 MB Transflash cards for the e398 ? <-- Saw a 128MB Transflash.. My white E398 comes with a 64MB card

3. Can i send pictures, sounds, themes, .... via bluetooth like the t610 ??? (send/bluetooth/...) <--- Yes. Able to transfer phonebook/entries, tones, pics from my old T610.. Also tried MP3 transfer from Xda II.

4. Can i Play t610 based Java Games on it?? if yes, will the gamescreen be smaller ??? <-- have yet to try T610 based games, but the new Moto games are better (like the Pinball one)

5.Can i set WAV and MP3 Sounds as Ring/Messagetone?? <-- Yes, even as alarm clock or event reminder..

6. Will there be a themecreator for the moto e398 <-- Have yet to find one.. Bought my E398 just last week.

i have a E398 for a week now and dis fone is really cool...

The fone's stereo speakers is fantastic. specially when u play those midi and mp3 files where there are significant left&right panning of sounds. Wud suggest buyin a SD/MMC card reader for faster transfer of MP3... (It has an adapter for so you can fit the TransFlash on SD/MMC readers)

The camera is also one of the BEST camera's on fones... You can easily adjust the brightness and zooming (up to 4x) with the joystick...
and the brightness adjustment really makes a difference on the pictures (unlike on T610, where brightness adjustment is very un-noticeable)
The Camera also has auto-night mode.. So you dont have to worry about the proper shutter speed of your camera. The 4X zoom is also great... There is no noticeable difference in quality from the standard picture to the zoomed ones.

i also like the way it feels on the hands. it kinda rubber-coated so it does not easily slips on your hands unlike K700i, which is very slippery.

It look elegant too... the keypads are very classy.

And another cool feature is the Application Lock... You can password protect almost every application such as: browser, settings, phonebook, call list, games, etc.
So no more worries when someone borrows your fone and accidentally or intentionally changes the settings. Also no more unwanted browsing of WAP pages... even games, as in everything can be locked

Really like this fone...

thanks

@shyam335, yes.. It only stores messages on the SIM.. Good thing I have a 128-bit SIM that can store 100 SMS to compensate..

What phone are you using now? I bought the E398 as replacement for my T610 (which my mom is using now)..

Battery life is good for a Motorola (way way better than my previous T720).. 2 days even if I occasionally play MP3s via the stereo speaker..

@Ayush, there is a USB cable provided.. There's also a converter MMC card wherein you can insert your Transflash so it'll fit on to an MMC slot/reader.. See --> http://www.mobile-review.com/review/motorola-e398-en.shtml

@shayam335, 128K SIM card is the latest/highest capacity SIM in our country.. I think it'll be also provided by your network sometime soon.

@flaminglips: Yes, like all other Motorolas that came before, only one number/contact.. But you can differentiate the number types thru icons (e.g., celphone icon for mobile phone, house icon for landline)

@Melik, MMC-converter is supposed to be included.. see the review link above

Hey peeps, would you know if Motorola offers firmware upgrades for their phones, esp. E398?

Good evening (and Good morning to those in other time zones)!
