HELP! T610 Modem |

Is there any way i can use my T610 as a bluetooth GPRS modem with my with my iPaq h1940. I am able to perform simple bluetooth ob-ex, but am not able to figure out how to use the bluetooth to use my t610 as a modem.

ps. I tried using the search function to find a relevent thread, but i could'nt find any thread which explained this in too much detail. If any one can find such a thread please direct me accordingly. Thanks Again. |

fIRSt u must be sure that u have subscribed to a WEB GPRS service to access full WWW. Next make sure you have communication suite installed.

Ayush: I have already subscribed to the airtel Rs.600/mo web GPRS service. Where do i get the communication suite for my iPaq from? Its not on the CD. |

Of course provides the communication suite with the CD pls, check properly.

I can now confirm that there is no pocket pc version of the communication suite on the cd i have recieved. if any one has a copy of the communication suite for pocket pc on their cd, please let me know. |

You do not need any additional software on the ipaq to use the phone as a gprs modem!
I don't actually have an ipaq (Fujitsu Loox owner!) but the principle is the same.
There should be a bluetooth manager on the ipaq? Just go into that, select the phone (I assume you have paired it?). One of the services offered should be "internet".
If you select that - it should ask you what number to dial.
In general the number looks like *99***x# where x is the CID number of the data comms profile you want to use. You can check the number on the phone (COnnectivity/Data comm/DAta accounts) just select the account you want to use and it will tell you the CID.
THat should be it!!
