T610 - SIMlock question? |
simond83 Joined: Dec 23, 2002 Posts: 26 From: UK PM |
I am about to sell my T610 and want to know if it's fully unlocked. In the secret operator menu in the sim lock section i have the following locks.
Network Locked 5
Metwork subset UNlocked 5
service Provider UNlocked 5
Corporate UNlocked 5
What does this all mean?
TIA, Si |

Your phone seems to be locked to the network only. If that's true, it's probably possible to use the phone with any SIM-card as long as the network is the same, but I'm not sure.
To find out, in practice, but with no guaranties whatsoever, try another SIM-card from a different service provider.

Just found the second 'secret' menu as supplied by boto43. It again shows some more padlocks.
Network Locked
Network Subset Unlocked
SP Unlocked
I can however click on the first choice being network and it asks me for an NCK: unlocker code presumably. Am i on the right track?
Thanks again, SI |

thats cause the SE phones store the codes on the handset, they are completely random, your phone will work with any sim card, the SP lock determines this and is unlocked so you should have no problems. |

You can also get T610s etc. unlocked at market stalls, but make sure that the person doing it knows what they're doing and doesn't bugger up your phone! I got one unlocked for 5 gbp.
I've just got a T610, and replaced a broken LCD on it. I've gone into the service menu, and got all of the padlocks unlocked - but when I put a sim in other than the network the phone was originally on (Orange, UK) it doesn't accept it! Does this mean the phone's still locked to one network, despite the all the padlocks being open?
