Yea the "Quick Reply" box is really nice, because it makes the other people participate in the forum, so they don't have to click 2 buttons and write, you can only read, write at the end of the page and post; and there that's it! Very fast and very easy. It would be so good to do that, I like it a lot in other forums.
But hey, don't get angry, also Buddy List is very coool.

The great thing with quick reply is that you can read the posts when you are whriting instead of using the 'topic review' function that will make one more click.

I don't use the topic review myself, I always click quote and so I have the content of what I am replying to visible and then just remove it if I am not actually going to include it in my reply.
if its easy and simple to code the script for quick reply then why not, but as I said before, its just a "nice to have", but there are probably more important new features on laffens list such as the buddy list etc that he may be spending time working on

i have a zip file which will EASILY PUT A QUICK REPLY IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! It is an advanced one with smileys and quotes and simple to add to your existing source code! surely you can take a minute or two to add it! |

What version of phpBB is your hack made for?
It isnt that simple since esato is runing on a older version of phpBB. Lots of the scripts in the newer versions is changed compared to the old one. So therfor your hack have to be made for this version of phpBB to work properly.
