Hi all, I'm new to esato.com and I just got the Rose white T39m a few days ago. It's a very nice phone with tons of feature. Currently, my software is R2k. What's the latest version? And what's the advantage of getting the latest software? More stable? Longer battery life? Improve reception? Generally, how's the T39 reception compared to Nokia 8210?Sometimes, I got a few signal bars, but the screen shows SOS CALLS ONLY...?? Network problem? And How reliable is the phone?
Hope I will keep this phone for a long time..... . Love the design and menu. (Sorry, i also posted this at Tips and Tricks!)
Thanks,
Dreamer.

It's a great phone, 2nd best in the world...first being T68i....
SOS calls only means your network is not available but another one is.... that can be used for SOS calls....

Hi Dreamer and welcome to Esato!! Have fun!
Anyway, what you have there is a very reliable phone, have it upgraded to R4A008 and most of the bugs are eliminated.
Reception is okay compared to other models, and the SOS calls dilemma did happen to me once but I guess the signal was particularly weak where I was. Not a network problem but a signal problem.
Keep it for a long time- you won't regret it. Oh, and did I mention that its GPRS feature keeps me awake till the wee hours of the morning?
Congratulations and good luck!

Hi! The t39m is agreat phone. I used one for about 6 months until the t68 came out. The only drawback as i see it was that using bluetooth or gprs drained the battery quite fast. Maybe thats been taken care of in later sw revisions. And the rosewhite is a beauty, very classy. |
