@laffen and @mods! Would it be possible to be a moderator for 1 day or few hours? Donnow if its possible give a try, if sy wanted to, even with limited moderator access, a kind of GOD jr like in some pc games. Esato - Behind the scenes! - how does it sound? Its an idea, think the members would like this opportunity. @laffen and @mods, pls think about it. Thx for your attention.

Not a good idea... IMO.

this could be a problem for the whole board if an individual abused the priveledge.

@bobafett - I think that will just be quite impossible/hypothetical/unrealistic/absurd/ridiculous/etc. Not even a 'second' will @laffen allow 'all' (to be fair enough) members here at esato be given a chance to become a moderator! Just try to imagine if @vermania (maybe he is till around with a 'new' username) is here and becomes a moderator - for a while, unless, he is a totally 'changed' person! Moderators are somewhat "God" chosen few . . . and I just know who is the 'best' amongst them all, maybe not only me but by the majority here! Just my opinion here folks . . . result will be: mayhem/chaotic/disaster and totally the 'end' of the Playtime-Beat The Lock Contest here!

When i first joined i asked @Laffen and he said that i hadnt been here long enough to be one and i asked if i could have a sort of trial but i dont think he got that IMHO i think Esato do need more mods because all the mods cant mod all the time because of the different time frames, Esato isnt modded as much as it could if there were more mods from different countries. I personally think the mods are doing a great job to keep it modded as much as it can but one extra mod would help.

Total unrealistic. Just imagine the chaos if everyone could be a mod.

Let's get @flying finn to be mod for a day!! That could be interesting..... Perhaps not!

I guess it could be a good way for @laffen and co. to evaluate any potential new moderators, though.

How about @bobafett, @jojo or @axxxr for the next mod? (if a position came up, that is!)

@lynx69 - You must have perspired a lot with all the 'mod' words you uttered back there mate . . .

@sammy-boy - I'll decline your thoughtfulness in advance mate! If only, I will be heading the 'Funny/Comic Relief Threads' ! My best bets would be as follows:

@axxxr
@gelfen
@vlammetje
@switchbitch

for now . . . . My choices are subject to change without 'prior' notice!

What i ment is to take a look behind the curtain. I would be interested how it works. Thatswhy i wrote with limited access, not with the full privileg of a mod.

True, they sould select a few members and put them on a trial so they mod (with limited power) for few days or a week and then if they show that they are good then they may be considered to carry on. Also for having the experience of how a mod does things.

basically all being moderator gives you is the ability to use the three buttons at the bottom of the page for lock thread, move thread and delete thread. moderators can also edit and delete anyones individual post. we can also ban members since the last couple of months or so also.

apart from that we have a couple of private forums to discuss activities etc

there is no magic and we cannot alter the esato site in anyway

take another read of Moderators. Who, what and where.

I personally don't think Esato needs any more moderators at this stage given the amount of coverage we offer and the way most members get posts in the right forums and generally follow the few rules that are imposed (thanks for that!)

@bobafett & @lynx69 - Some kind of a 'On-The-Job-Training' here I suppose. Also, they will not become full-pledged mods if they did not finish the course (training). Will there be some application pre-requisites, such as fee, educational attainment, family background, 'religion', contry emanating from, age, assets and liabilities, etc . . .

@masseur - Can you give us the complete list of 'all' the past members being banned here at esato, mate? Thanks! Errrr, about those 3 buttons below that you were talking about . . . how do those things work if I may ask? Don't worry mate, your secrets are safe with me (for now) . . . tehehehehe. A 'private message' and personal email will also do!
