Yeah right, with just the couple "reviews" that sounds so fake it's not even funny.

Ok, I've tried it. Blueshare works first time I tried it (on my iMac, connected via ethernet to my router). But on my Powerbook connected via Airport, Blueshare won't share my Powerbook's internet connection. I've emailed the developers about this.

I'm still trying the Movie and Ringtone modules...

Hey guys!

I'm the developer of P900 Manager.

sexybeast : Yes, I became aware of problems surrounding the BlueShare module and airport networks a few hours ago, and have since posted a new update (1.0.2) that should fix all of your problems. I apoligise for the inconvience of having to download again, but I made a small oversight in the final code.

Sound is most definitly supported.

Issues may arise however, when trying to convert some 3ivx encode movie files.

This is a problem because of the way this codec communicates with Quicktime.

Currently working on a fix, but for now, some 3ivx files may have no sound.

Yep, internet sharing over airport now works! Thanks fer the fix!

I noticed Blueshare, Moviemaker, Ringtone are modules for P900 Manager. What other modules might we expect in future versions?

I've tried this, its OK.

However, a few suggestions ( I won't register this until Point 1 is implemented)
- Ring tone - i should be able to choose the 15 seconds of music from a track, instead of just recording the first 15 seconds from the beginning.

- Add ability to backup
- Add ability to sync mail to MailApp
- When the ringtone has been converted, automatically upload to P900

sexybeast: I am currently developing a number of different modules using the P900 manager app. I'm looking at backup, file transfer, sms and mms technologies, amongst many others. Eventually, I want to be able to surpass the features of the PC suite for windows. Keep in mind that this is an initial release and keep your eye out for cool updates in the near future.

stewart01: I am currently working on all of these features, in fact, and hope to debut them in a version of P900 manager soon.

dBAGZiq: Yes. Technically, all of P900 Manager's features shold also work with the P800 generation of phones. Bluetooth Internet sharing works seamlessly on the P800, but as I do not own one and havent quite researched the capabilities of this device, I don't know about the other modules.

Let me know how you go.

I get my p900 tomorrow and can't wait to try this product. In terms of future development, I saw a post here about using my laptops mic and speaker to use as my phone while connected via bluetooth. Great idea

I hope you don't try to implement backup over BT... that would be extremely slow... that Serial connection Masqrading as USB on the P900 will be signficantly faster..

P900 Manager app uses mRouter, you know, that framework that prevents iSync to work reliably. therefore, if you have problems with iSync, you'll have problems connecting to P900 Manager, unfortunately.

Each time I want to use either, I have to delete the pairings of both the Mac and phone. Only then will iSync or P900Manager connect to P900.

pacificfurn: Coming soon.

stewart01: Backup is stable in the latest development build, and there is an option to either use BT, or the Sony Ericsson Sync Station that comes with your phone.

As for mRouter's issue with iSync, that is a problem with Apple's iSync software. I dont see how you think I can implement bluetooth internet sharing without using that part of the symbian framework. It's not possible : mRouter is the bundle which enables this type of communication.

As far as i'm concerned, there is still a lot of work that Apple has to do in terms of Bluetooth support and development on OSX. Hopefully Apple can resolve this issue in the next release of iSync, or even update the frameworks in Tiger (10.4).

If you would like to discuss this issue further (including why this occurs) please feel free to email me on blargsoftware@jeddawignall.com , and ill be happy to answer any questions you may have.

If you implement USB backup, that'll be absolutely great.. no more Windows backup.

I thought the connection problems with iSync were down to mRouter... but you know more than I do regarding that.

Thanks for the reply.
