i think he means REmoved.
i'd like to get rid of the icon myself, since i'm syncing my p900 with my apple powerbook and not my pc.

if you have WIN XP then use the powertool called TweakUI available here
edit: click on desktop and untick "My P900"

there is a windows 98/me (actually I think it even goes back to windows 95 too) version of tweakui which I used to use. that one was accessed from the control panel whereas this one is standalone application
don't ask me about NT/win2000 though as I only use those in the office

I have recently upgraded my old pc (windows me) to my notebook (xp) and I used the exact same version of tweak ui on XP as I did on ME so I presume that it would work on all windows.
Can I suggest btw. On XP can't you remove the icons by using desktop cleanup as I did this with the bluetooth icon which appears on your desktop when I installed my belkin BT dongle and that icon wouldn't delete either but the desktop cleanup seemed to do the trick.

If you want a clean desktop, maybe consider hidding all the icons on your desktop.
Right click the desktop, go to arrange icons by and click show desktop icons. |
