I have a 3 year old BT Cellnet Sim card that ive used all this time.

Can i have GPRS on it? How much does it cost? I dont know much about GPRS

You can still use gprs on your sim. Jus call 08705 214 000 and ask them to activate it on your sim. Ps. I use a 4 year old cellnet sim and everyfin is fine

stuartdb87 is right, you won't get charged if you don't use it PROVIDING that your mobile company don't set you up on a 'fixed package'.

For example, my provider (orange UK) charge me something like £4 per month for a fixed amount of GPRS usage. I have to pay that £4 per month whether I use my GPRS allowance or not. I usually do, so it's OK for me

Just make sure that you get a 'pay as you go' GPRS package, not a 'fixed monthly fee' one. If you're not on contract, you probably won't encounter this issue anyway.

I just thought, i probably wont use it much at all now that i've ordered my bluetooth pc adapter. But if its a good price i'll still want GPRS anyway.

D'oh! i forgot to phone up bt/o2 about gprs.

Will it affect my battery life even when i dont use it?
