Just set up an wap page/site from somewhere like o2.co.uk or i think 250free.com is one. So its accesible both on wap and pc, if you set the wapsite up then you can upload things from pc onto the site which can be accessed on wap.

You have to set the correct MIME types, for that open Notepad cut and paste this :

AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlc wmlc
AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc wmlscriptc
AddType application/java-archive jar
AddType application/vnd.eri.thm .thm
AddType application/vnd.mophun.application mpn
AddType application/vnd.mophun.certificate mpc
AddType audio/imelody .imy
AddType image/vnd.wap.wbmp .wbmp
AddType image/vnd.wap.wbmp wbmp
AddType text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
AddType text/x-vCalendar .cal
AddType text/x-vCard .vcf
AddType text/x-vNote .vnt
AddType text/x-vmel .mel
AddType text/vnd.wap.wml wml
AddType text/vnd.wap.wmlscript wmls

Even if you will not use all the others just past them with it so in case in the future ... you know... . Now save it as htaccess.txt, upload the fil on the root directory of the server and rename once it's uploaded to .htaccess. The reasson why we have to do this is because windows doesn't support .htaccess files

Now you are done, you can download everything you want with your phone

Edit: added those for the .jar and .mpn files

What if i just want to grab single files? Like, just type the address of the file into the phone and go to it? Do i still need to upload that text file?

Also, do i rename it to htaccess.htaccess ??

In simple words, most hostings don't include the MIME types for mobile phones ( unless the hostings is dedicated to do that ) so if you upload .thm, .imy, .wml it won't recognize it. So you need to add the "new" file types manually with a .htaccess.

I added in my previous post all the MIME's you need. For better understanding: try to download a file without the .htaccess and then with the .htaccess ( if, of course, the sever doesn't have allreay the MIME types )

I hope it was clear, not easy at all to explain

Edit: you see gardar needs that too, he can't download his themes, the .htacces will correct that

On my t300 i go to wap services>enter adress and enter th adress! But one tip! You only pay for the pages and pictures that you load! It doesnt spend any money how long time you take to read the page! U can do it for hours! So long as the page dont loads or refresh! -even by it self -if it refreshes or loads again then u start to pay!

Yes type it in the enter address on the t630 before you connect to the internet. However you will pay for the time if you are using WAP, but not if you are using GPRS.

Note though, that not all free hosting companies will let you have a .htaccess file, geocites won't for definante and i couldn't get it to load on brinksters free service either. However it will work on 250free.com, but if you don't create a website to go with your files you risk having your account deleted.

I cant find that option on my T630

I cant find wap services, the only option is to press up from the standby screen which it connects straight away, no address entry

EDIT: This is way to much hassle, i'll just buy a USB bluetooth adapter

EDIT2: I got it to work on my websapce, the only real problem was that my T630 has that crappy T-mobile firmware on it. I dont think you can actually access the bookmarks without being connected. A clever way to steal the pennies while you type in an address
