I couldn't get that to work...
Got a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor, and it works for abit then there is a loud *beep* sound as the phone thinks that it is expecing a voice dialing command. Right annoying - and can't seem to stop it at all.

What adaptor are you using?

I've mounted some Sony 'hifi' headphones on the original cable. Now I'm able to listen to Oggplay with high quality sound and answer through the headphones as well...

I endorse Bengal Girl's suggestion. I use an adaptor from PC Mobile with portable Sennheier MX500 headphones. Wonderful sound, much better than the standard SE 'phones.

yes but those ones are huge and stick out totally unsafe and will put strain on the jack when its in your pocket. Sound is too distorted and as the jack doesent have a outpout for the mic you are likely to short out the hoen or get those annoying periodic beeps where the phone thinks you have activated the voice dial. And also the fact if your listening to oggs and you get a call and you pull it out to take the call when the call finishes ogg player audio is blasted out of the speaker which can be embarassing in a library or other such simmilar situation. @M@d0nno - How did you manage to wire those headphones in so seamlessly? Did you take the actual earpeices apart?
Looks like the best solution ever... is it hard to do?

Cheers

its not the best quality solution ever. as the internal wires of the haedset are plain copper. not OFC which gives a superior sound and as he soldered his fontopias in to the headphone the edge of wires would have been oxidised so he looses even more quality. PC-mobile route is the best solution. [addsig]

I've said it many times before. The ideal solution would be to use the headphones provided for this:

It is the standard 2.5mm jack. No adaptor nor modification needed.

Too bad SE doesn't sell this headphone separately from the HBM-30...
