Im not sure if you know this, but I have been told today that Orange have a rough release date of 28th May 2004 for the K700i and 6th June for the Z1010.
I know that Orange do tend to change there launch dates alot, but its a start.

Also If Orange is releasing the Z1010, Is this the time the 3G network will launch too ??

Orange themselves.

I cant say for vodafone as at present, even though they have released there 3G network, Vodafone havnt released a date regarding using it for video and voice calls only using it for Data.

That sounds WAY too soon for Orange. Last I heard was that only T-Mobile and Vodaphone were that close to start rolling out 3G services (both have data accounts in place already i think). O2 to follow in the summer and Orange last out of the blocks towards the end of the year.

I could be wrong, just the last thing I heard about the current state of 3G.

@ darrengf, why are my details eerily similar to yours?!

Cant see Orange releasing k700 so soon,they usually test the phones for so long that they end up being the last to release most handsets.
Orange 3G is set to launch sometime in the middle of this year,which probly means it will be nearer to xmas when they do
If nobody wants it.. put it on eBay.

Vodafone have said they're gona wait till theres more 3G handset before they launch 3G. There data GPRS/3G service is up and running and being expanded all the time. T-mobile launch 3G in may in the UK.

I don't know where you got that from.. I work @ Orange UK and have seen or heard nothing about either the K700 or Z1010. As for 3G though, what has already been said pretty much hits the nail on the head

Orange were the first to release the P900 and 6600, so who knows. They might have got their testing underway already.

Aren't 3 and Orange owned by the same people?

Anyway hasn't the K700 already been released in other countries? So it shouldn't take too long before it reaches the UK.

3g has been tested for a least a year now. If push comes to shove orange can go straight away. It will only cover major cities like london and birmingham etc. As for the k7 and z10, as already stated theres not even a whiff of these. I will see what i can find out.

@Linkinpark17UK

Hutchinson whampoa (telecom) used to own Orange (they still franchise the brand in hong kong) But know France telecom do. Bit of history for you there
