hey guys, i'm almost done with the content on my new site. i made it with dreamweaver. it's set up as a a basic html page and xhtml compliant. each page is 128px wide. the web address is geocities.com/slamevil@pacbell.net so you can view it on the web or wap. theoreticly, it should look like this:
on the web, it's fine and dandy, but on the phone, basicly only half of it comes out but all the links work. i don't know if my mime settings are messed up or if i'm doing this wrong or what...help! can you guys test it out on your phones and tell me if it works or not and if it does, which ones it worked on i.e. 68, 310, 610, p800. thanks.

oh and if it helps, i'll take a pic of what it looks like on my phone to show you all.

it loads fine on my nokia 6600, but the browser is a little more advanced than the t610.

Remove this line:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

I always had invalid pages and errors when a meta tag was present in the head.

Failing that, remove the backgroup pic and just have a banner at the top and a basic/standard table for your links. I'm not sure T610 can handle that.

@orangeman - thank you for the input. i guess it's good to hear that it comes out well on your 6600. does it resize to fit your screen or just load in the upper left corner? i tried removing that line as you suggested (on my index page only) and none of my pics loaded. that was just way more trouble than i am ready to deal with as of just yet. what does that line do and how did it turn out on your t610. this is how it looks on mine.

i scrolled down to "links" so you can see the page looks to be split in half down the middle. you can also see on the screensavers page how it's split.

the background pic isn't that at all (as you all can see now.) each button is supposed to touch to give the illusion of a background pic, as you were able to see on your 6600 @orangeman.

@orangeman - what did you use to create your site? did you use a w.y.s.i.w.y.g. program?

@gardar - thanks but check out my first post, it is html and xhtml format currently. i didn't want to do it any other format because i wanted it to look really cool. not like your average wap site. my provider gives me 30 megs of storage. so if this all works, can you just imagine how cool of a site this can be? if you get a chance, check it out online and imagine that on your phone!

@everyone - feedback is still welcome and needed!!!!

I use frontpage express, then manully edit the code with xhtml headers and tags. Let me 're-code' your home page and see if I can get it workin

The meta tags contain page content. So it can be picked up by a search engine.

thanks brother. i also just noticed that this is in the general section now. so thanks to the mods for moving it; it should get more traffic now.

@orangemans 6600 brought up an issue: if anyone out there has an moto t720 could you try it on that as well?

ok. Ive tried it with and with-out a table.

http://www.wapchimp.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/evil.htm

I think you will have to use wml as the T610 throws a wobbly with xhtml coded tables!

I found this on my site, so I just spaced the pictures links far enough apart.

My page loads, though thepics have gaps, which is not how it should be.

put wapchimp.com as a link aswell [addsig]

@orangeman - so that is definatly a begining. what's your secret to getting it to the center of the page like that? that should be just a simple line to edit right?

oh and absolutly you can be sure i'll link you guys! as i said, this is only half the content. i plan to make this the biggest wap site ever! you know, we could all start a wap circle to get more traffic to our sites like they do on the web. but we'll get to that later....

This is perfect on web, but not on T610. It has the gaps. You may need to re-think the design
