does mexico use 1800mhx? or 900? or 1900?
The way forward is to find that out first and then purchase a phone that supports both the mexican network and your home network

There are several mobile communication systems in Mexico. The GSM-system is offered by Pegaso Comunicaciones y Sistemas, S.A. De C.V and Radiomovil Dipsa SA de CV.
They both use GSM 1900. At least Radiomovil has roamingparnters in USA: AT&T Wireless PCS, Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile USA.

What's the "forward" thing?
And, what's the "1800x, 900 and 1900 GSM stuff"?
Ok, but how do i do it? Do i buy a cell phone in Best Buy or something? Then, what company do i buy from: T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.?
Then how do i desactivate the cell phone company to use it here? Then how do i make the cell phone to work with a cell phone company over here and with the same costs, just like i bought a cell phone over here?

I think you only have to unlock it with a US SIM Card, and buy a Mexican SIM Card and use it. Telcel and Telefonica Movistar have GSM Service |
