i've called my place SE authorized shop to do firmware upgrading..since my T610 is AP, the said i'll need to pay RM35(my country currency) for the upgrading service..that is not the problem, what is the problem is they said there will be no warranty for the flash process!..actually if a flash process failed, what will it result to?
i'm currently using R1A081 firmware and if i upgrade to R4xxxx firmware, what will i get from the latest firmware?

Upgrade the R6B series of firmware. In case the flash process goes wrong, the phone won't start. Just reflash the phone.

the chances of a firmware upgrade failing is very minimal but if it does, in my experience for the once it did happen to my on a P800, they just try it again

for information regarding R4C003 please continue in the following thread...

R4C003 is out for T610/30

and for R6B004 take a look here, though I am not sure that R6B is widely available yet

R6B004 Firmware for T610 is out!

its where you remove the lock the phone company has put on your phone when you bought it, so that you can only use their sim cards

They do this because they have subsidised the cost of the phone to make it cheaper for you buy
