I have tried on my P900 and it works! It will take about 2 minute to fill up the buffer and then the program just run uninterrupted.
You can download the player from here, english version is available but all TV programme is in chinese.

The player is for both P800/900, other symbian and even pocket PC version is available too, but currently it's for Chinese market. I play around with it in HK and the quality is acceptable, you can get around 5fps for low frame rate version programmes. The mid-high frame rate is even better but my GPRS is too slow for it, it just comsume the buffer too fast. I think the streaming server is using the same rtsp protocol as the built-in video viewer but it has different access control so I can't connect using the internal viewer.

I think it only depends on the bandwidth between your ISP and the media provider's ISP, I think the server is in China but I'm still get good result from HK, you can try it in your country.

After you donwload the player, you can choose english as the interface language and you can register a free account from there. I have registered an accound so anyone can try it out.

sounds pointless to me... it would cost a fortune using GPRS. |
