You are not supposed to put the adaptor under the battery, put it on top of the battery under the back cover. You hav eto gently press the cover down but it works. Any words on a software that makes it possible to switch sims without rebooting the phone?

I got the adaptor aswell for my P900 & T610
it is the same adaptor, but what worried me a bit was the sticker on it:
NOK6100/3100
I thought they made a mistake and sent me the Nokia model, but no, it all worked fine on the P900 (switch on/off to change). Still have to try on the T610.
QUESTION: my P900 now looks pregnant since the back cover doesn't close well anymore (middle is pushed out)
Any tips to make it flatter so the cover closes again correctly? |

I was going to ask the same questions to Zeb and blackbauer any way will ask again since no one answered you. Is it normal that middle of the back cover remains bulged out after installing the dual sim adaptor?
By the way it said Nok 6100/3100 on mine as well.
PS: Also you will get a free antenna booster with this, not that I will use it. You just click on the banner and it will be added to your basket.

That looks fun but i have been using the cut down sim type for months now & i (many friends also use the cut down type on p900) find it far better than those ghost type because you end up straining/bending/squashing bits of the phone, often ending up with huge pressure on the battery/sim holder, i value the phone FAR more than a SIM which would often be replaced free by the network if you told them it was playing up.
Saying that, i think you would have to be very careless to cut a sim down incorrectly.
Remember, once you cut the sim down you dont need to handle it any more after that.
i dont think the Ghost sim holders are any good, many of you will experience problems with poor quality contacts resulting in the thing swopping itself over on its own.

I must say that i dont agree with you! I think the gost sim works great. Cutting my sim is not an option. I have used gost sim for a very long time and havn´t had any problem.

@zeb55, well not everyone copy & pastes members names when replying on this forum, but i find it a good way to prevent getting it wrong
Lots of twin sim adaptors give problems with the contacts, its very common, but if you get a good one then fine, personally, i like to reserve the space behind the battery cover for stowing my "other" cut down type twin sim.
Cutting sims down has had bad press but they used to be huge remember, they are actually ALLREADY cut down.

Is there any way to select the startup SIM?
I have a Vodafone and O2, and the O2 always comes up first after battery is inserted or the phone has been off longer than 3 seconds in either socket.
This is most inconvienient as Voda is my work SIM and I just want O2 for GPRS and MMS that work wont pay for.

Maybe swop the sims over in the adapter?
It is still better than carrying two phones?

Oh man, am I glad that I read this thread. I was going to order one, but I thought that I could recieve and make calls from either SIM, without having to do anything to the phone.

Are you all still using the dual sim card adaptor? I have just ordered one. Are there any additional tips or info that I should know about... I would really appreciate any advice. Has the bulging battery cover issue been sorted out? |

Can someone please post a picture of how this dual sim adapater works on a P900 (Before placing the battery and after placing the battery and closing the cover)?. I am unable to understand how can two SIMs get into the small compartment without breaking something. I just dont find any space behind the P900.
It would be great if someone showed the pictures.
Also, has someone tried the other dual SIM adapaters where we dont have the cut the SIMS?. There is a ribbon that comes out and the TWO SIMS have to be placed on top of the battery or something.
Please help!!!
