Hi
Is there anywhere we can submit constructive suggestions to Sony Ericsson improve the software?
Does Sony Ericsson ever read this Forum?
I love my P900
(* though I hate the PCsynch problems of the software!!)
And I am interested in making some relatively simple suggestions that would (IMHO) massively improve the usability of the software interface.
But to they ever listen...?
cheers

P.S. Maybe it's not SonyEricsson but some software house we should be addressing... ??

I usually go call SonyEricsson when I got suggestions. You can also email them with these suggestions. I don't have the email anymore, but they gave it to me when I spoke to them. So call them and ask for their email so you can send your suggestions to them.
I know of one at SE who reads this forum when he has time, but nothing he passes on to the rest of SE. So contact them directly.

I would submit them to the waste paper basket - because that's where they'll end up when SE get them.

I am surprised the SE P900 is as good as it is without listening to a special/VIP group of expert users. They would benefit, we would benefit and everyone wins.
For example the diary.
The way my paper diary works needs to be immitated. I enter stuff in PENCIL (i.e. with question marks) before - sometimes a LONG TIME before - I actually comit to it.
Thus I would like to see much more sophisticated use of colour in the overview type views. (e.g. month/view & week/view).
I'm open to suggestion how the colours should work in detail:
maybe PALE GRAY/PALE BLUE for thinking about it (like a pale pencil..)
Maybe RED for IMPORTANT...
Maybe GREEN for definite... (as in Go at traffic lights)
In fact maybe it should be user-configurable!
That is a dropdown list in the diary
entry where you can select
- PALE BLUE ("Possibility")
- RED ("Important")
- GREEN ("Fun")
Whereby the user can elsewhere edit
the words "Possibility"/"Important"/"Fun" etc.
Also there are some entries in my diary where it's an external even (e.g. such and such gets back from holiday) where I dont have to do anything as such.
But at a glance I want to be able to see what's happening in my diary... BY COLOUR!
It is also extremely irritating that you cant enter a blank time if you DONT KNOW the exact time of something!
Whoops time for some work.
