TRICK:Want to get rid of the pics u use for your contacts???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GOAL OF THIS TRICK:get rid of the pictures (that are used for the contacts in the fonebook) in the "my pictures" folder.(and create the "gost-pics" )

NOTE: this trick only deletes them from the folder, not from the fone. pictures stay in the fonebooks contact, even when fone has been turned off. So they still use memory of the fone, there is NO memory increase/decrease. the picture is now stored in the contact only but still uses memory.

How to do this
1) link the picture to the contact (as u normally do)
2) go to the "my pictures" folder and select the picture
3) press "more"
4) select "rotate"
5) after this just delete the picture  it won't tell you "picture is in use" anymore.
6)IMPORTANT do the following for every contact on which you apply this trick(reason: see NOTE 2)
 go to the contact and select "see contact" you'll notice this takes a while (fone is installing the picture again).
7) there's the picture!

NOTE 2: important: when fonememory= full !dont do this! : delete a picture (that is linked with a contact),put the memory full again, then check the contact  The fone will load the picture in a sort of not accessible memory, you are able to delete that picture from the contact but not from the fone (it's gone but there is NO memory increase after deleting it. youre stuck with a picture you can't see!!! (happened to me...)

so what's the point if you are going to get stuck with a picture you can't see in the end? I mean what if you no longer want a pic? How will you delete it?

The people who jocked with this trick are so f..... Ignorant! Did you read it? The sole purpose of this trick is removing the thumbnails of caller photos from the images folder, while they will still appear when the contacts call. For people with lots of photos assigned to contacts it becomes difficult to browse that folder to search the "normal" photos, gifs or walpapers

Well, I'm thinking that if at a later date you really want to delete these pictures, all you have to do is erase their links to their contacts. Like Arez said, it makes the browsing of other pictures much easier when you have lots of pictures for your contacts, and the pictures of your contacts still appear when you get calls from them (with the exception of blocked numbers). Of course, that means that if you do this, and then unlink the pictures from their contacts, then you lose said pictures for good. If you do not want to lose those pictures, then just don't erase them from your Pictures folder.
This was a trick that Arez posted, and like everything else, if you don't want to do it, then, well.....
Don't.
