What is Bluetooth Against Bush?
Bluetooth Against Bush uses bluetooth enabled devices to create moments of ad-hoc solidarity for people opposed to George W. Bush and his disastrous policies.
That's great! How do I participate?
Its really easy!
more info at:
http://www.bluetoothagainstbush.com/
Find your bluetooth device settings
Name your device "Bluetooth Against Bush"
Set your device to be "discoverable" by other devices
Who can participate in Bluetooth Against Bush?
Anyone with a bluetooth enabled device can participate.
Why should I participate?
Simply because its fun!
Its a subtle way to show your solidarity with the anti-Bush movement and discover people in your immediate vicinity who feel the same way. When you are in a crowded area, you can use your bluetooth enabled device to scan for other bluetooth devices. If you find other devices named "Bluetooth Against Bush," then you know other participants are within 15 ft. of you!
How many people are doing this?
There's no way to know for sure. If you like the idea and want to participate, send an email to info@bluetoothagainstbush.com and let us know.
Why are you against Bush?
Well, here's One Thousand Reasons.
What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a wireless protocol for creating Personal Area Networks. Its range is approximately 15 ft., and its speed is comparable to USB. Many cell phones, PDA's, laptop computers, and other devices now include bluetooth.
How do I know if my phone/PDA/laptop has Bluetooth?
Check the following links to see if your device is on the list.
Mobile phone
PDA
Laptop Computer
Hey, "Bluetooth Against Bush" doesn't fit in my device name settings! Do you have any other name suggestions?
Some devices don't support enough characters in their bluetooth device name for the entire text. In that case, its time to get creative. Try these on for size:
Blu2th Against Bush
B2th Against Bush
Blu2th Vs. Bush
How do I discover other Bluetooth Against Bush participants?
Go to your bluetooth connection settings and choose "scan for devices" or "new paired device." Your device will then search for other discoverable bluetooth devices. If other Bluetooth Against Bush participants are within range the search will return a list of devices named "Bluetooth Against Bush."
If I find another Bluetooth Against Bush participant, can I send them a text message?
Before you can send messages or share files via bluetooth, your device must first submit a request to "pair" with the other device. This will require you to create a short security code. When the other person enters this security code, your devices are "paired" and may communicate with each other.
Do I have to go through the whole pairing procedure every time I want to communicate with another bluetooth device?
Once a device is "paired," you may set it as a "favorite." If two devices set each other as "favorite" they can communicate without having to pair again.

should we start using bluetooth for political statements?
IMO: i think not. the only thing this will do is make a bad name for bluetooth. |

Cool! I like but the US is lacking bluetooth phones. Either our services are not willing to provide them or the people much rather go for the cheap free phones. infact i believe we only have about 2 -5 bluetooth phones availible to us here in US.
-T610
-T630
-nokia 3650
And the other two are just a guess. Other than that, you wont get much more.
Also Esato i think has alot of Europeans as well.
But i will try to spread the word at my school!
Great Idea Again |

if still anybody is reading this, plz contact the webpage and ask them to stop this, this will only promote bluetooth in a bad way. bluetooth is still young and not know yet by the public, and its best that they don't learn about it in a bad way.
thx

It will probably not get the massive response that would make any sort of difference. And even if it does... say... tmorrow I'll find a device with that name. What am I gonna do?
So @bart: stop overreacting
@ all..... don't lose too much sleep over it
