Hi,
I made up a small list of the SE k700 versus the Nokia 6230.
weight: 93g / 97g (SE wins!)
screen: 176x220 / 128x128 (SE wins big time!)
talk time: 7h / 3-5h (SE wins!)
standby: 300 / 150-300 (draw)
flash: yes / no (SE wins!)
camera res: VGA/VGA (draw)
FM radio: yes / yes (draw)
video: yes / yes (draw)
screen size: 1.8" / 1.5" (SE wins)
MP3 player: yes / yes (draw)
Memory: 32 Mb / 6 Mb+ 32 MMC (Nokia wins)
3D Java: yes / no (SE wins!)
Design: wonderful / OK (SE wins, but this is only my opinion)
OK, it looks like 7 to 1 for SE, and 5 draws. Pretty OK!

But the worst thing is no MS slot.

But to me it's no problems if you have a laptop and can copy from the phone from time to time

well i would definetly chose a k700 just because the screen but a lot of ppl would go for the 6230 because of the mmc |

A very simple question: If I want a phone that can really play MP3, which phone should I choose? Assume that a whole album in good quality have to be stored.
Another question: If I want a camera phone that has a big and good colour screen, which phone should I choose?
Different phone has different advantages. So choose the one that suits you. |

What is the maximum capacity that the memory cards which are used with the 6230 can be? I think that is a very important factor, because lets face it, a phone that can play mp3's but only has 32MB of non upgradable memory is pretty pointless. Once you have some photos and games on there you are only going to have about 20 MB left which is about 6-7 songs. pointless. A massive let down to an otherwise fantastic phone. GX30 is still looking like the best bet for the time being........... |

512MB capacity mmc cards are available in the market. So the 6230 should be able to use such cards.

Just checked Nokias homepage and it clearly states that the 6230 will "only" be able to use MMC-card of 32 MB, not bigger. Probably has something to do with the speed of the memory interface. I guess you could buy two 32 MB-cards but since you have to turn off the phone while switching cards this is a really lousy alternative. SO, the only strength of the 6230 is eliminated. The K700 will RULE!! |

don't know what you saw tedsc456 but the whitepages for the n6230 state a 256mg maximuim size for the card. which is quite a big deal.
now if you could just get the k700 to sync directly with an ipod somehow and then 32meg might be okay.... wishfull thinking...

I just choose a function "Compare phones" on the Nokia website. I then choose to compare the 6230 to the 6600. And then it says on 6230 "Maxium Memory Size" 32 MB and on the 6600 it says 128 MB. So i guess the Nokia website is wrong then. Hey, it still does not matter to me i will go for the K700 anyway. |

Yes nearly everyone know that most people here only go for SE phones and hate Nokia so much no matter how good its phones are. |

Hi,
Here are two more things that I forgot on the list:
3D Java: yes / no (SE wins!)
Design: wonderful / OK (SE wins, but this is only my opinion)
So the revised score is more like 7 to 1, even though the MMC card is a big deal... Especially if 256 Mb are possible.
