P900 o2 payango pop3 problem |

Was: Realy realy pissed off!!
Got my p900 hopin to send loads of pop3 pics to my gf and now i find u cant use pop3 with o2 payandgo! And most of time i get an 500server error when i try to download stuff could sum1 send me the opera browser to my email plz message me if u can help

Lol ive just put in my post i cant download hardly anything i get a server 500error plz contact your server provider and i get a padlock icon in the top right hand corner ive phnd customer care each day for last 3 days was put on hold for half an hour then was told wud get a call bak but i never do!

ignore wat o2 say: its bollocks. go control pane, connections, internet accounts, click o2 wap gprs and then edit. then advanced and then click through the tabs at the bottom till u get to proxy. Enter 193.113.200.195 and 8080 as the port. Opera and pop3 will now work. |

Using those settings I can get pop mail working, but not opera or worldmate to upgrade the weather and currencies. I have the exact same settings on my laptop, with the p900 as a modem, and that works, but not on the p900 itself? |

I found taht world mate always need Data GPRS connection to update WAP Gprs won't work. You need to call O2 and activate the data gprs which is called Mobile Web. Its not free though

Ok, thanks. But I still find it odd, to say the least, that www can be accessed by using the p900 as a gprs modem, but not on the p900 itself? |
