iSync 1.5 worked fine for me. I deleted my old parings to test it. Paring from the computer will allow you to select to synchronize the phone and paring from the phone was not necessary to get it to work with iSync.
It still does not, however, synch any new info. No street addresses, email, or pictures are synched. |

They've got to fix it to allow street addresses - otherwise it's not a real phone book! Whose bad is this? Apple's or SE's?
Also, how do you change the order that multiple phone numbers are listed? In Address Book I've got all numbers as home, business, mobile in that order. But after syncing the K700, the order for different people seems to be random. Some have their mobile numbers listed first, others their business, etc. |

You can't really change the complete order, but if you set one number to be Default (Contact name > More > Default > Choose number) in the phone, it will show that number first in the list. |

Just a couple of Mac questions, not sure where else to post, so gonna try here.
Firstly, does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of bluetooth devices you can connect to a mac at any one time? I seem to remember seeing somewhere about how windows can only handle about five devices at a time, (don't know how true this is, I think I read it ages ago somewhere), does mac have a similar limit. Nothing seems to be mentioned on apples website about this so I assume it's pretty much unlimited. How does having more devices effect speed, ie, could I have a bluetooth mouse, modem, and phone all going at once, without this effecting the speed to the point where it slows my internet connection (via bt modem)?
Secondly, does anyone know of any good, mac compatible bluetooth modems around. I don't want my iBook to be restriced by a phone cable and a bluetooth modem seems like a good idea, at least until we get broadband in February, and I can wi-fi it all. Am I right in thinking that any bluetooth modems will work as mac uses generic drivers to connect to anything and everything. Trust's bluetooth modem isn't too expensive but it doesn't mention anything about mac compatibility.
Oh and another thing, the bluetooth built into mac, is it class 1 or 2. Assuming I got a bluetooth modem, class 1 would give much better range (100m I believe), so I can sit out in the garden and surf.
Thanks for all help,
Jon. |

According to the specifications of the D-Link DBT120 Bluetooth adapter, it supports up to 7 slave devices. That's the adapter that Apple officially support (with firmware upgrades etc.). I've never tried connecting that many devices though.
I know that for connecting multiple devices you often have to create extra Bluetooth Serial Ports using the Bluetooth Serial Utility.
I don't know anything about Bluetooth modems. Best bet would be to try the Trust one. They sell them in Maplins who are ok about refunds if it doesn't work. |

Those of you making mp4s on macs: Use Quicktime Pro, it's REALLY simple to use and works almost every time. Fast aswell.
Might know of a way of *ahem* getting it cheaper

You could just turn on speech on your Mac and say "Home Phone for John Smith" and your Mac will display it in big numbers across the screen without you having to trawl through address book. |

If you want a Mac OS X theme for the K700 (going by your avatar) you can find one in this thread:
