Also be warned. Some providers will not allow you to use the self upgrade tool. If this is the case, you will have to bring your phone to a Service point every time you need it to get upgraded. I am not sure if T-Mobile restricts you.

You may want a factory phone just for the free upgrades.

Also, Service Point's can easily uncustomize this phone right now.

o2 are good for me... lotsa free texts and gprs!
went for a (series of) interviews with t-mobile in Greenock (customer services), and i must say that they are the most disorganised operation i've ever had the displeasure to work with. Never been a customer, but if that's the way they run their company...It sure looks bad for their customers.
i used to have a good sig, but i'm all pc noooooooooooow!!!

yeah thats not deemed a good customer i used to work in a phone store and a good customer is someone who's bill is on average £65+ a month, plus all bills should be paid on time, be wit them at least a year i think thats normally very good had a friend who was wit t-mobile for 2 years called for a PAC code and was given 400 free text a month and a free Nokia 7250i which at the time was £200

doesn't detract from the fact that they are the weakest network in the uk in terms of coverage, subscriber numbers and handset renewal. It seems they are haemmoraging customers and are doing anything to keep them. Very poor.

I have been with t-mobile for 6 years and spent quite a bit everymonth, definatly over £60! My contract ends at the start of April. They will then offer me £149.99 off, but I'd still like a little more than that off the phone price(preferably free!).

What is the best think to say to them to 'persuade' them to offer this?

@ DAN

since u have been a long time customer start talking about not being happy wit offers quote some other network tarriffs that interest u and finally drop a hint that u are thinking of leaving the network once the contract is up they will go very far as far as i have seen u might be able to scam a free p900 but might have to up your monthly bill just a bit

I have been using the P900 with ATT since december...the reception seems much better than the P800 I had before. I never had a drop call but I stay pretty much in my calling area. I dont know if you travel alot and I am not sure if the further you get away from a main city how much your reception quailty drops. The P900 has definately been a winner for me however wherever I go and try to use it.

"the p900 is available on t-mobile network from TODAY you can call 0845 412 2426 so come on guys and gals give us a call!!!!! "
just had a look at the T-mobile website - cause I'm can't be ask to get the sales speach on the phone while I'm paying 1p/min - and it's not there yet ! I'd expect the website to be the first thing updated for this kind of news (
not sure why funlovinkrim is not allowed to reveal the tarrifs (or why his manager won;t let him), can't be THAT amazing otherwise they'd want everyone to know and not expect people to call at their expense to get talked into buying from them - sales people can be very persuasive.

Dan,

Called t-mob again and talked to someone in Customer management. Basically when you dial 150 from your phone, presss option 2, then option 0.

This will get you to a operator.

Tell them that you are intereseted in upgrading, but want to know if there is anything 'better' that they can do for you. If you get no response, then asked to be put thru to the dept that deasl with disconnections (that always works).

You will prob be put on hold, listen to some sh!te muzak, and then get someone on the other end, who will say that they can give you an additional 80GBP on yr allowance. From conversation with loads of people in that dept, it seems that is the maximum that they are allowed to offer.

Good luck and if you get a bigger discount, post here and let us know.

Cheers
