Does anybody know the name of the piece of music (or the artist) that is used in the new Vodafone television advert in the UK? I really like it and would like to get hold of it as a midi file for a ringtone.

The advert in question is the cheap text advert where the person texts his mate asking him to pass the tomato sauce, and the rather nice woman in the changing rooms gets a text telling her to close the curtains.

I've looked on the TV advert music database and it's not on there yet.

Thanks in advance

Maybe you should try sending Vodafone an email, just to be sure here regarding that ringtone.

Hi
The band are called Jet. The track is called Are you gonna be my girl. And it's from an album called Get born. It's not a bad album all in all.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Thanks for that again - but it's not actually the tune I'm looking for

The one I want has been used on a TV programme before I'm sure - but I can't remember which programme.

Try again people...

Right.... are we even sure this is the right tune?

Can you find this commercial? So we can see/hear it?

The link you sent me isn't the right tune. I've looked on Vodafone's website but they don't have it on yet.

It's an electronic sounding instrumental tune but I don't know what it's called

It's the newest one for cheap texts. I've given a brief description of it in my first post.
