Japan is seen by some as a test bed. Look what the USA is like. By the time they get 3g, Japan will be starting 4g! Atleast Europe is in the middle!

I think they look mundane and generic. Nearly all Japanese phones do.
The features are, as always with Japanese phones, excellent. |

Well I guess we better stop looking at these phones before we all start crying. |

maybe europe should not have these phones due it is too complicated for them to use. the p900 is the only one that is right for them, what a pity asians are much smarter that's why these way more hi-tech phones are only available there and asians only comes up with those babies. it hurts! japanese not interested in technology? that's preposterous! if they are not interested then why is japan way ahead of europe. they have much better and cooler phones and they just laugh at what europe has.

"Asians are much smarter"?
"Too difficult for europeans to use"?
The f*ck you on about?
Japanese consumers spend more on technology than Westerners and are more willing to adopt it, but your generalisations border on the offensive. |

I won't bother rebutting whoever's argument (can't remember his name, can't be arsed to look back), I'll just let the sheer banality of his posts shine for everyone to see. |

hmm....
i see it as the asians(japanese in this case) is more adaptable to new technology than westerners. so they will think up an idea, make it and deploy on the market. very little lag. whereas the general western public will take a while to adopt new ideas/technologies.

Where theres a demand, theres a supplier.
The reason you can see old guffers and children walking about with Motorola C520s and Nokia 3210s etc here is because there isnt enough demand for high tech phones by the masses here due to cost, therefore the general public stick with legacy phones. How many P900 etc owners do you know? Not many compared to the general population is it? If everyone was walkin about with P900s and using the majority of the features, there would be a reason for companies to produce superior models more quickly and frequently.
Japan on the other hand has a market for technology because of the way country is made up. Because of the mountains everywhere, space is a premium, so theres lots of population in a small space. Lots of population=lots of houses=cities. Large cities always get tech, as theres a need for it in the workforce. So there is a demand for tech there, hence the tech there.
Thats my opinion anyway |
