Flashing T616 with T610 firmware |

Hey I was wondering if it was possible to flash the T616 with the new T610 firmware? Has anyone tried or is it even possible? |

Thats an interesting q, made already thoughts of it. But what 4 would it b good? But an experience is worth if i ll have a 610 4 it ;-)

well... there was this thread a while back. The external link doesn't work any more but I recall it did say that it had been done.

Thanks for the links. Originally, all I wanted was faster java and better pics but if the threads on the link suggesting that flashing the t610 firmware on a t616 will change the 850Mhz to 900Mhz, then that will be my third reason for trying! If it all works then I will have a real world phone! as oppose to this only in the Americas world phone.

as far as I have heard, the frequency compatibility is a function of the physical design of the antanna, not the sw |

@theslugger - i don't think it's worth it. from what i've heard, the t610 f/w is full of bugs and that is why they are contsantly changing it (it's just what i heard, please don't shoot the messager). i've put my t616 up against my friend's t610 and it was faster
