You have raised a very good question dairin. From what I have known it will remain the same plastic design like the first batch of T68i. But it will have the same contour color to match the phone designed color. Perhaps it can use the T68 rubber effect battery for the new T68i if the designed color is the same as the T68 lunar grey or in dark color.

TonyG,

Please advise me as soon as possible the nearest Sony Ericsson Service point from Grand Copthorne Hotel. My sister leaves tomorrow and she needs to upgrade my t68mc to t68ie. The taxi cabs in their hotel area said Golden Hill is too far out and wont take them their. I hope you can give me the address and if possible directions on how to get their from the hotel.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

MFB,

It is required by our law that all taxi's in Singapore must sent their passengers to their destinations no matter how far or how near it is. They have no right to reject. If your sister is staying in Grand Copthrone Waterfront ,that is at Havelock Rd, GoldHill Service Centre is the nearest to the Hotel. In Singapore there are only two SE Service Centre who will do the upgrading only. One is at GoldHill and the other one is at Kallang. All SE Service Points do not have the facilities to do the upgrading. From your sister Hotel, GoldHil Plaza is still the nearest. However I will give you the Kallang SC address too if you decided to ask your sister to go there.

SonyEricsson Service Centre (Mobile Technology Asia Pte Ltd)
50, Kallang Pudding Road
05-02A
Golden Wheel Industrial Building
Singapore

Tel:67440733 67497717 67494457

If you have problem again pls write to me again.

Hi Tony,

Are you sure that only Kallang and Goldhill can do the upgrading of the T68 to T68i? Because the people in hardwarezone.com say that other SE service centers also can do this. Now I dunno who to believe.

red_ryder>- If it is for other type of upgradings, yes, SE service points would able to do it. But if it is for MMS upgrading, as far as I know, only Kallang and GoldHill are able to do it. Best is to call them and check with them if you want to confirm it. Pls do tell me if I am wrong. Thks!

Tony, could you clarify what is MMS upgrading? If I just want to upgrade the T68m to T68mi, can I do it at any service center (i.e. Jurong Point)?

She's already there at GOLDHILL. :-) However the guy said it will take 2 hours to upgrade. I had this impression it would only take 30 minutes to an hour. Do you know anyone there that can help speeden up the process? Its her last day in singapore and she still has meetings to attend to. I bet she's annoyed with me right now for making her wait that long. By the way thanks for all your help TonyG.:-)
