It'd have to be whoever adjudicated the game I suppose. Not a perfect solution as it would need a lot of work but it was only a thought

It is clearly stated that the reason is strain on the server. Maybe during the last games you may have noticed how the board got slower and slower...?

So that IS the reason. I am not sure what it is that you are truying to say here

@vlammetje - ok, ok, ok, ok, - I've noticed that too, it's getting slower and slower (server), just a hypothetical conclusion there I suppose ???

Laffen showed masseur and me a graph indicating the traffic during a "normal day" when Playtime was run.
Those times of day a Playtime topic came up the server was "this" colse to pack it in.

There will be more Playtimes later.
I promise!

Why would the text be classified? But then, I don't know much about these things...

Just a suggestion, but:

Instead of 'playtime' why not just periodically take everybody who's posted on the forum in, say, the last 60 days and enter them into a raffle? The three (or whatever) winners could then be picked at random, hence ensuring that the server won't get overloaded with playtime posts, and all of the Esato regulars get a fair chance of winning regardless of time zone differences and their ability to post quickly (wap and dial up users, for example).

Could be done with very little work, a single php script should be able do the whole lot in one go.

Sure, it wouldn't be as much fun as playtime but there are no doubt ways to make it more fun, like having to qualify in some way instead of just taking names from the last 60 days? Suggestions, anyone?

Just saw this "cancelled" thing. :( . I was going to win. :( . Anyway, i got a necklace for crashing the server, not a lawsuit for doing so :D . Just a question: When playtime resumes these points will be reset? Cut in half? @ tranquil i'll pm you later.

@Cycovion: I allready made such a suggestion like that but I think that for participating we should donate to esato. It's fair and nice for Laffen
