@tiger do u have any idea, how to make the good old nicad and nimh batts working even after years? We should find a way to avoid the situation, that gh, ga etc series couldnt be turned on cos of dead batts.

@kothor: They are from Taiwan and China. Found on ebay (China)
@boba: on the one hand there's the possibility to use the handset as often as possible. (I know, not very comftable)
An other possibility is to revive your 'dead' batteries. Most times it works, to use a universal charger and some cable. Select ~9V and give some seconds power to the battery (be carefull to use the right pole). After that try to charge with regular charger (best with a desktop charger MCx000 series) . If charging process is started -> very good. If charging doesn't start try again with cable-solution. It has worked on most of my batteries, but I also have some out of 3xx and some out of 6xx and 7xx series, which are complete dead and no chance to revive.

How can the phone recognize original batts? How works that technology?

Thats a really good question! As i know, only /// fones recognized non orig batts. The "alien batt" text is a bit funny!

Maybe the fone has a kind of batt-meter, so it can recognize the voltage of it.

at least on the T65 batteries I have seen that Ericsson have a small PCB with some circuits in the battery, in some way this might help the phone to identify original batts, but sure... it can also be as already written, that if it doens't have the right voltage/ampere it will be identified as an alien battery... |

The techn developement is really amazing, that t28 with bhc10 gives 175 h standby time, the same batt with t39 almost 2.5 times more. Same at r320 and r520

Hi,
just got a message from my SP.
If someone is interested in, I can get new and unused original housing for Ericsson T65 Stardust Yellow and Ericsson T65 Polar Blue. Each complete housing will be ~25EUR.
To contact Laffen for ERISMILE is a good idea. I'll do my best!

I just got a response by laffen:
I have to change the /// to the right of the smilie, because it's too high now. I'll do my best to change the smilies as soon as possible.
Here some more tryouts:
erismile
eriwink
erimad
erisad
erieek
ericool
erigrin
erievil
erioops
and if the /// should be on the left or right side it would be the easiest way just to make a single /// and use it with the regular smilies:
grin eri
