New Nokia 6620: a 6600 with stereo sound, EDGE, pop-port, MP3 player etc |

One problem: it's for Americas meaning it uses 850/1800/1900 bands, Nokia f**ks with us Europeans for a change. Although I have a feeling they will give Europe something similar with a few extras at CeBIT
Examples of new features over 6600:
-EDGE (first in a Series 60 phone)
-Presence enhanced contacts
-E-wallet
-Stereo MP3 player
-12MB internal memory
-Opera included in all versions
-new design

LOL, you can't link foto's from Mobile Burn.
This is typical Nokia yeah. I hope for the 6600 users that a firmware update will give them the same specs. Btw. this one looks so much better then the 6600. (Although it's the same design ) |

It's not the i disease as we know it, there was going to be a 850MHz version of the 6600 for NA, just like 3650 > 3600 and 3660 > 3620, only this time they made significant SW/HW improvements as well and not just change the bands. |

That's not the only colour, it also comes in all white (and maybe all black?). |

Whatever u say but i don't see it as an improvement but rather a NEW phone from Nokia. U see,i bet they call it 'a new phone for North America' when actualy is an old overpriced phone with some add ons!' only this time they try the old scam with them american fellows! Hihi

So, according to you it's not enough to call it a new phone, if it has different HW/SW in it? Or is the HW same as covers to you? In your theory there are no new phones coming anymore or it's really rare. Almost all phones published today are based on to already existing software. That's how the software development works. No vendor is stupid enough to build a phone software from the zero. There's always the base software, unless they are creating a whole new platform. |

The spec is really so attractive. I simply like to use Series 60 and I want a stereo MP3 player in my 6600 so badly.
I still think the looking of 6600 is very good and much better than 6620 (because 6620 is designed to match the taste of Amercian, but I'm not). I am really looking forward to announcements of new Series 60 phones by Nokia. |

All i am saying is that they use a platform to build 10 phones.For example, in 2002 they`ve used 4 platforms to launch 32 models..they r cheap...as a company, i mean. U buy 'em cuz i won't;-)

And the other vendors don't have even 4 platforms to which produce phones. Why there should be a limit in producing phones? |

You quickly forget about T630 obviously.... (just an example among quite a few). Oh, but no, T630 has no add-on vs T610, just a new plastic cover.
Anyway, a very nice phone! |
