Hi there, I am currently in Sydney, using Vodafone Live.
I am having trouble getting the e-mail client work on my T68i.
Does any1 know the correct settings? Is it possible to make it work? Thank you.

welcome to Esato

are you using GPRS and if so are you using internet GPRS data account settings rather than wap GPRS data account settings?

you can probably tell by doing the following:

go to messaging, email, options, edit account, (choose the account) and check what data account is in the "connect using" setting.

then go to connectivity, data comm., data accounts, (click the account specified by the "connect using" above) and view the value of the APN.

Thank you 4 your reply! That was fast
I am using account called VF live! GPRS. I think I sent this account setting to my mobile from Vodafone AU internet page...
APN adress is: live.vodafone.com.
Do U think these settings should work? Or do I have to create some other data account?

I'm pretty sure thats a wap data account. Looking at the vodafone web site it looks like you need to create a data account with just the APN set to vfinternet.au

no other settings should be required.

then go back to email config and changethe "connect using" to use that new data account.

you may also need to call Vodafone to enable the GPRS internet service as that is separate from the wap service

Hello.
Call up vodafone and tell them to send the three sms to set up your phone.

I 'connect using' VF INTERNET when connecting and checking my mail. Works like a charm.

Good luck.

I think it is all the same for prepaid and post paid products. The only difference is that prepaid ppl do not have an option for their data plans.
I think it is 2.2c per kb (with a minimum charge of 25kbs per session) and a connection fee.
It sucks a$$.

You might be able to change data plans - but not too sure. You might need to speak to the vodafone people. I'm on their basic data plan but it is still too expensive to check my email. Grr...

Give them a call on 1555. On most postpaid vodafone products that number is free. Not too sure about prepaid.
