I want to connect up a set of headphone butb they have a 3.5mm adaptor - and my P900 takes 2.5mm. Anyone know where in the UK I can get an adaptor.

this has been asked loads of times. just go to your local maplins who will do a mono one for less than £1 and a stereo one for £2-£3

I got the same one from the PC-Mobile site and recommend it, its much better than using the Sony provided ones!!! I got some Panasonic clip on cans with a retractable lead too and this all works great |

Wouldn't buy the one from pc mobile, went through 2 of them in less than six months, not worth it. Bought a stereo one from Maplins in the UK for under a pound, works perfectly. |

Just today I bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack plug adaptor for £1.99 but I'd like to know anyone's recommendations for head/ear phones to make the best from the P900.
I was a bit worried about putting too much a load on the P900 by connecting too large headphones.
I'm assuming the walkman mini earphones (the ones that fit in the ears) are what we should be using (please correct me if I'm wrong)
I noticed that there was a impedance variation on some of the in ear phones I looked at today, and I'm not sure which is better to give excellent sound at good volume levels without putting a strain on the P900 electronics
I would welcome your recommendations.

I was thinking this exact same thing. I got one of the mono adaptors from maplins today however it sticks way out of the phone. So the one in the link mentioked lookes a better bet. Any ideas of a UK stocker of something simular or anyone in the US who doeksnt have a $11 min order.
Any while I'm asking, any recommeded makes/suppliers of synch & charge usb cables in the UK.
Many thanks

I've got some Sennheiser pmx-60... They sound really nice, not as good on the bass, but they are REALLY comfortable, and the sound is really good. Also you can turn up the volume really loud without loosing any quality, which is also good.

I can do a stereo 2.5mm - 3.5mm converter, it sticks out 22mm when in the p900.
It is £2.99 + £1 P&P. (Within UK)

Hi everyone,
After much searching around i finally managed to find a stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm headsocket adaptor in my area (New Zealand)
Also found a 3.5mm adaptor that lets me hook the fone up to my stereo system (not sure what the audio plugs are called - RCA plugs??)
NZ$3.95 each!!
So 2 adaptors later and i've got good CD quality sounds coming out of my stereo, playing on p800 Oggplay 1.10!!!
Just wondering tho, i'm a bit concerned if this kinda set-up will harm the p800 electronics in any way (as mentioned by Paul in his above post)
The sounds play brilliantly on the stereo, even at a fairly high volume. I had it playing for about 30mins before, and the p800 seems to be handling it well.
Don't know tho, if prolonged use in this fashion will kill my fone or not....
Any advice would be much appreciated. Does anyone know??
Cheers
THE P800 IS AWESOME.

The one at pc-mobile looks far better than the one from maplins - as like what otehrs have said - the maplins one does stick out quite away. Its a shame they dont do one that has a 90 degree angle.
