The battery on the T68i really suck big time. No I don't mean the "juice", it moves arround when you hold it in your hands. It's totally not acceptable when typing sms. The battery is only connected to the phone by two hooks on the middle of the battery, each side of the phone. When you hold it in your hands, the battery moves from side to side on these "hooks".......

The phones "feels" cheap. Am I the only one with this problem? On a friends T68m the battery is very firm...... I hate it at the moment. I'm currently using a pice of cinema ticket to increase the firmness, but is there a more permanent solution?

Here is one thing you T68m people can cheer about...

Battery on my T68i is solid as a rock. On my T68m it is possible to move the battery around a little bit.

Cheers!

It is actually rather cool to switch batteries between the m and the i, both phones looks better after the swop..

If your battery is a bit loose then just put a peace of paper under the battery. I used the sticky part of the yellow stickers. The battery sits solid as a rock now.

I have had 4 T68i's and two of them moved but the other two were cool. I don't really think it's a problem to fix... It must be something simple.... Go to your service center and i'm sure they'll do something! For the rest : n-joy your phone man!!!

Never noticed that on mine. I did hve it on my T39 thoug. Solved it by folding up a small peace of paper and put in between the battery and the phone. Give it a try...

PS. I see someone beat me to it.

This is a problem that has existed for almost all Ericsson phones from
GH237 or something, and it's amazing that they never learn. The batteries on the T28,T29,T39, R520, and some others, I think fit better, since they have an entirely other design, that "fits into" the
phone.

The "cure" since the epoch for batteries that slide around, and even
may cause discontinued power supply causing the phone to shut down
or reboot, is to put something between the battery and the phone.
The support technicians use to recommend foam-rubber tape that is used for sealing windows. This is elastic and does not add unnecessary extra force to the locking mechanism that might cause even looser fit between the battery and the phone.

On a fairly new phone, however, you might discuss this problem with
the retailer and maybe get a new phone.

The battery fits perfectly to my T68i. I guess you just received a bad batch of these units that has this problem. I admit that and confirm like what other users post here that this is a problem with ericsson. Well thats why you have to check the phone first before you purchase it just to be safe

Well my T68i's battery "clicks" a bit,..it doesnt move around in any way.

I actually tried some other T68i's and they did exactly the same. I was told that this specific thing could be a "security-feature",..meaning that if you drop the phone,..the battery should be able to "move" without destroying the phone itself.
So its better to have a bit of "space",..instead of a completely almost clinical closure-mecanisme

Yes the e.g. T-39's have a pefect fit,..but again the battery on these sits in another way than T68. And the phones backside is metal

My T68m's battery is very firm,..mainly because its rubber,..and you wouldnt feel/hear the clicks.
