I heard rumours that were going to release a successor to the P900 in mid 2004. I can't see it happening though. Any one else heard this?

If you live waiting for the next model you'll never buy anything
You should consider if you (and not your friends) really need a P900 and if the answer is "yes" then go and buy it
Anyway I never heard about a P1000

Yes they are working on the P900 succesor. Readed an articel in a Swedish mobilemagazin about design, and they were working on a new smartphone...
But i dont think it will be named P1000, I think it will be named P1010 to be more like Z1010...

I suppose they started working on the P900's successor long before they released it. That's probably tha way it usually is nowadays.

It is pretty shure that there will be a sucsesor for the p900 but probably you have to wait one year for that to happen.

You can find some usefull information on this topic :
http://discussion.treocentral[....]&highlight=sony+ericsson+p1000
If the link is not working log in and search for a thread called : " Sony ericsson P1000"
A discussion is made in this thread about rumors wanting Sony ericsson buying Palm over the next couple of months!
Also after that, rumors want sony ericsson to release a PalmOS upgraded version of the P900, with a fold-out Treo 600-style keyboard, Treo navigation button, Bluetooth, rudimentary video, improved camera, Opera-style browser, SnapperMail, office suite.
I don't know if something like that is possible to happen but if it comes up to be true things in mobile world would become really interesting! |
