Errors with code-memory in z600? |

I have noticed that the password lock on the code-memory in my z600 doesn't work...
For example if my password is 2345 and my control word is hello and I type 1234 he'll say "wait" and for a couple of seconds I will see "control word: xcdgh" and I'll get access to my codes even when I entered wrong password...
Is this an error in the software? (my f/w is r2e004 and I'm going to upgrade to r5b001 as soon as possible)

I have never used this code memo but I just gave it a try on my Z600 and I get the same strange behaviour as you. I then tried it on my T610 and again the same.
So, time to read the manual... In there it says that you don't get a message when you enter an incorrect code. This is to strengthen security because someone else will believe they got it right. However the checkword displayed is not correct and nor is the value of the code you entered, only the name of the code you entered is shown correctly, again to fool someone who is trying to get your information.
Try entering an invalid ´password and you will see what I mean. Then enter the valid password and you will see all your data correctly.

Oooh silly me didn't check if the code was right..
I got a little panic when I only saw the headings for my codes...
Thanx!
