I have been informed by www.ihavetohave.it that they will be selling a connector that will be able to connect a BT parrot car kit to the steering wheel controls of a BMW in Jan/Feb 2004.

I have no word on a price yet for either the full kit (connector + parrot + fitting) or just the connector for self installs (but thier prices on similar Nokia Kits are very reasonable)

It will be a lot cheaper that trying the get BMW to retro fit the Offical BT Kit (that doesn't even work with the P800 anyway).

Will it work with the multi-information display?

No unfortunately the parrott kit isn't clever enough to because Ericsson doesn't implement the bluetooth handsfree profile in the P800/P900 you are unlikely to find a P800/P900 carkit that will do this. The Nokia car kit that http://www.ihavetohave.it does indeed work with display in BMW becuase they do have a handsfree profile!

I suggest you write to ericsson (as I have done numerous times) and bug them about the bluetooth profiles until they do something about it

Explain to me what is different from the old BMW bluetooth car kits used in the past models since 2002 (if I recall correctly).
