Playtime. Rules on how to play

Any member of Esato Forums can play.

Prizes will be sent to any location all over the world free of charge but any customs or VAT fees will have to be paid by the individual winner.
Esato.com takes no responsibility if local law conflicts with the prizes in any way.

Playtime will be played in two different categories;
1. Small prizes: one topic where the winner is announced straight away.

2. Bigger prizes: several topics over a few days where the winner collect points from each topic throughout those, on forehand announced, amount of days.

Category 1: One topic with one winner started only by tranquil or arnoldc.
A single topic will occur in one, randomly selected, Esato forum. A request for a specific reply number will be announced in the in the first post of that thread. The winner is the one member who manages to post a reply in the requested place. e.g. If reply number 5 is requested then the member who has the 5th reply in the topic wins. Multiple replies posted by a single member, no matter the content, will count as one reply which also means that in the case where the multiple replies start before the first winning position, that person does not win since the first post is not in a winning position.

Category 2: One or more topics with three winners started by tranquil and/or masseur
Rules as above but several topics over several days where the winner in each topic collects 10 points for replying in the requested place. In addition, the two members with the reply before and after the requested reply receive 5 points each. Individuals can only score points once in each topic so if one member has both replies before and after the requested reply only the first counts and the second of the 5 points goes to the next poster in line.
The points will be added up and displayed in a separate topic.

Now over to the nice stuff.
Here are the prizes:

Donated by Sonyericssonman.

Donated by Norway.

Good luck with the games

Thanks for the rules, but one question...

So do multiple posts, only count as a single post IF they are in the winning position, otherwise there are counted normally? Otherwise it will take a long time to go through and figure out where the specified number was, and the reply number wouldn't mean anything in the forum lists...?

Please just elaborate on that.

I have a comment/question regarding the "one post rule". If a member only can post one reply i a Playtime topic, the user posting the first reply can never win. So, isn't it possible that the topics will be unreplyed? Just a thought...

drazbury, multiple posts only count as one post when a winning position is involved, and it is the postition of the first of the multiple posts that is taken into account. so if the winning reply is 5 and you post at position 4 and 5 then you do not win, but if you post at 5 and 6 then you do win!

Evert, you mistunderstood. you can post multiple times in the one game

Ok, I was pretty sure, but just wanted to confirm. I still think nobody should be allowed to use multiple posts, but that's just my opinion. But at the same time I suppose it makes no difference with this rule.

Why are u guys soo concered about multiple posts ? If U try to reply to your own post, wont u get the message stating that u cannot reply too soon, please go back and edit your previous post bla bla bla ?

@Evert, its only considered a multiple post if u reply back to back

... then as per my example, since your first reply of the multiple replies is 4 you do not win and the poster at 7 is the winner.

edit:
drazbury, unfortunately multiple replies do occur, even by accident.

sanjeevjaya, its quite easy to multiple reply without receiving the message you mention but I won't go into how here.

oh i see, so if you posted 4,5 and 6 you wouldn't win because if you post multiposts in a winning postion they count as one, but in a none winning posistion they count as one each. correct?

also with the big playtimes, for 10 pts it is 5 and you multiposted 3 and 4 do you get 5 points or not (because 4 is a winning position (5 pts))?

thanx

phew! the rule is simple: In winning positions the first postition of the multiple posts counts. So in your example you would get no points since the winning positions are 4, 5 and 6 and your first post of the multiple posts is 3. I hope this is now clear!

If you post reply 3 and 5 for example, it's not a multiple post?
