as said in a thread eons ago, my first phone was a FP-CT but my first mobile was the Motorola 8500 (the original brick with an aerial longer than my T610), it lasted a good few years and still rates as the best phone ever in my opinion.
ever since the analog era these new sim card phones have just lost build quality and durablility...my 8500 had been down stairs, put in the washing machine, fallen off the roof of cars you name it...and that was way before they replaced faulty handsets at the drop of a hat. |

As I said before, my first was a Nokia 6110, 5 years ago.
I recently paid a visit to my mother, she has one 6110 too, since they appeared, back in '97. She still uses this phone, in fact it's the only one she learned to use. I'm impressed it still works, although now she will be forced to change it, as it fell and hit the ground directly with the display and display glass inside broke, BUT half of the display is still readable, the other half is covered in that black liquid in which crystals flow.
I'm very content of my actual T65, but I must give up its services and buy another phone. I think I'll deceive esato too, as I'm seriously thinking about buying a second-hand Nokia 3650, because here its price is soooooooo low, with no contract.
If you have another opinion about what phone should i buy, please tell me. BTW, IF i had the money, i would have bought a P800 (P900) in no time, but the price is double compared to 3650.
(PS: i need large colour display, java and expandable memory for a really low price) |

@masseur, you did, you even asked if anyone had a picture of it, since it predated general use of internet.
On a related note, doens't anyone have a good mobile phone picture gallery? Like the ones they have for motorbikes, where they have catalogued every year which model was released? I couldn't find any, but I know there has to be one. |

My first phone was prehistoric siemens m35. But it had wap 1.0, composer with one melody to edit. And there was b&w game labyrinth, but it was a 3 dimension game!!! So it was a cool phone!

My first phone had colourful lights and when you pushed a button it would make a sound as if you were dialing. It was a bit plastic looking and the antenna broke after chewing on it for a while. I think it was a 'top of the range' Fisher Price.
The good old days when you could crap in your pants and the only punishment was having to run around in the nude for a while.

My first phone was a Motorola Flare (6200). I can't understand now that it was its time far ahead those days (1996). It was only 250 grams and had a standby time of 18 hours. I still have it in a drawer to remember and compare it to the new phones.
My second phone was a Motorola CD930 (1999)
Third: Nokia 3310 (2000)
Fourth: Siemens MT50 (2002)
Fifth (and now): SE T68i (2002)
And I'm still thinking about my next phone. If the price is right it must be a SE Z1010
edit: added some more info.
