I cant remember the model of my first phone, but it was a Nokia, it had no caller id, 5 crap ringtones and no sms, however it did have a massive pullout aerial and the battery was the size of a P900.

My first phone was a Philips one on BT Cellnet PAYG I got free with my Student Barclaycard. Flat rate 50p / min - lol! It was a total brick (can't remember the model name but it took a creit card SIM). Needless to say the 50p / min didn't wash very well with me but as the handset had been free it didn't bother me that much - I just gave it to my mum and got myself...

A Contract Vodafone NEC DB500 (I think that's what it was called) - it had exchangenable fascias and it came with a free PAYG Siemens C35 (This was back in the day when the networks were literally giving away PAYG handsets). I gave the Siemens to my brother.

I then switched to Orange and got a Nokia 3210. After a year I got a 6210 (also Orange).

I then briefly had a J70 on Orange but took it back as I didn't like it. I also briefly had a Nokia 8310 on Singlepoint Vodafone but again took it back coz I didn't like it (and Singlepoint weren't doing GPRS back then - and still weren't a year later actually - all in all a lucky escape!)

I then went with Vodafone Retail and got an Ericsson t68m which I had for a little over a year. Then I switched to Orange OVP Virgin (still using the t68) until Orange released the T610 which is what I have now.

I'll probably be getting the Z1010 as and when it appears (assuing 3UK continue their apparent trend of actually getting better!)

Strange. I thought I posted my first phone details but its not there... so...

it was an NEC 9B back in 1986. This was the Australian version of the NEC 9A analogue phone used in UK and initially didn't even have the ability to store names against telephone numbers so you had to remember which of the 100 memory positions you put someones number in. 6 months later they provided an update, including a whole new keypad, which gave that ability. It was brick size (of course) and cost A$5500 even back in those days!
