A little news, although the link is terrible - there's a slideshow to go with it - I expect they'll let us have a copy after if anyone wants it.
Sendo development started in Nov 2002 - they've said "Standing Start to Sendo X in one year", meaning expect it very soon.
Also nice to see it's actually made of brushed aluminium as opposed to plastic

Also, 15FPS video recording, and pictures (stills) are taken in 16 million colours
Has a separate graphics co-processor which can give 30FPS on the viewfinder
Tons of support - MP4, Real Video, animated gif etc
Another Edit:
MP3, AMR, WAV, MIDI, XMF, RMF, Real etc support
Has an integrated loudspeaker that apparently is particularly good...
Doc viewer for office products (nothing new there)
Supports NSM messaging (?)
Up to 6 e-mail accounts

"MMC/SD card to support 1GB and beyond"!!!

presume the Sync Statopn comes with the phone (like the P8/900) and the keyboard is extra.

Grrr! I asked your question Nij, however because the streaming was so poor I didn't hear it being answered.
Apparently a recorded version of the conference will be available in a few hours.
It sounded like a guy called Peter Kay asked a question, so if he was there he might be able to answer (I've seen someone of the same name around here).

Just watching the presentation again (not live) - and there's another superb feature (if it works properly!)
Speaker independant voice recognition... requires no training - e.g. you can just say "Call John Smith" and if there's a john smith the phone will call him... with no training! Can't see it working that well myself, but we'll see...
EDIT:
Sendo X Sim Free Price expected to be EUR 500.
EDIT:
According to the press conference the X will not be available until Q1 - so not in December.

mentioned that price earlier in the thread, shame about the release date though.
although hopefully they'll have ironed out any bugs by then and it won't crash all the time like the SPV. |
