I found this video of the CAR100:

It's not mine (from dintelefon.net), but I would'n just link to the original URI, if his bandwith limit exceeds (as a result of me linking to his files)

I mite try sum LED neons underneath.
Should be no prob fitting standard sized 1's at the back and front, but prob need smaller 1's for the sides.
I'm gonna have 2 run a seperate power source tho, coz batt life is crap as it is!
Later!

I used to have one of those tin car radio control cars, although it was a bigger scale car I updated the motor, gears and put red leds's at the front.
These mods should be possible to do. I think puttin in some better gears should make the car run faster over longer distances!
Does anyone know how to take the shell off the car? if so could you post some instructions how to do this?

Removing the shell is easy.....
You have to gently pull the front bumper away from the chassis, and it should come away.
I have a few TOMY Char-G cars lying around and have been swapping motors, tyres, axels around, its made a big difference since I bought it. |

Well mine is modded a bit already
its got a 3.6 motor in it, bearing in mind the one that comes with it is equivalent to a 2.6 (those are rpm of the motor, ie 2.6=2600rpm)
Different gear ratio on the drive train makes it slightly slower off the mark, but much quicker topend,
Standard battery that comes with it (150ma) is replaced with a 300ma for longer runtime)
The tyres have been swapped for soft on front with off road style tread on it, and hard on the rear with F1 slick type grooves on it, gives it a bit of drift round the corner but not enuff to lose it
mods to be done this week if i can
ground effect lighting
2 x LEDs in for the headlights (ran off there own cell)
Dual battery mod
and if i can find any lying around, replace the mofsets on the pcb (these basically limit the speed due to the resistance in them so if you put in less resistive ones instant speed boost, very fiddly to do mind)
And last but not least am gonna haveto make my own charger for it outta a replacement system connector and old charger i think
I someone wants to host pics for me i'll post some, but for the minute all ya can really see are the tyres and cogs different |

Should be possible to hook the steering unit to a PLS kind of steering. Making it capable of controlling an ordinary radio controlled vehicle. Maybe a gasoline motherf**** capable of 60mph |

Sorry to bump this two year old thread - but the thought of a bluetooth remote controlled car with 60MPH speed, and the bluetooth 10 metre range cracks me up ....
Anyone with any new car-100 mod stories?
