@blue8300:
For your information
When you buy/register certain applications, they ask you for your IMEI number, to provide you with a serial code. Opera, for example.

yes... but then they explain you how to get it too
You may be sure it is not for a software he did buy...

Why do you need the IMEI for Opera? It's a freeware.. i did download it and they never asked me my IMEI (???)

I just used Opera as an example. I know it's free for P800. (It's not free for other phones).

I feel it's unacceptable to bash a user for asking a question just because the information could be used for a keygen...
I don't see anyone bashing bluejackers, simply because bluejacking can be used for harrassment!

I think Blue just tried to explain him he just had to use the SEARCH function and he will have in 30 sec the answer on his question... a question who maybe has maybe been 50 times posted ans answered !

And using cracked software don't fit whit this site !
It's not accept here to talk about that.... just the same with Keygen

Yes - PeterKay should have used search
Yes - the info could be used for keygen
However, that same info can be (and is) used for legitimate purposes as well, thus it's not "illegal" or against forum rules to discuss it. As a matter of fact when it comes to registering legal apps, it's one of the most important pieces of information you need.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

Seems to me you guys spend way too much time compiling "witty" replies ordering people to use the search function, that in fact keeps the very post you don't want viewed, active on the forum. If you don't have a constructive answer then don't reply and the post will vanish onto Page 2 and beyond within a matter of hours. Not to mention the fact that the boards would have considerably less "attitude" than they currently do.

Yes it can be frustrating when people don't use the search function but giving everyone a hard time is non productive and merely serves to keep the posts active..................................................

Do any know if my earlier purchased program will work if I bye a new P800 or upgrade to P900? I do know that some of the apps need the IMEI number to work and that of course is preventing people to share apps. I haveŽnt got a clear answer from Epocware yet so maybe some know. Have at least 12 apps that I purchased and not very interested to start to shopping from beginning again.
