I see now why the keys don't press on the screen like in the P800. By using a self contained keypad system the keys can start lower down (below the line of the screen). This allows the uncovered section of the screen to be larger.

Ok so it is removalbe why the hell werent theese pictures shown before on the other sites!!!! it does look a little odd with out the flip i admit not as smooth looking as the p800 when its in its flip off mode. Still looks a hell of a lot better flipp off and probably a lot more functional. My remianing questions are:

can i reuse my martin fields screen protector
can i re - use my old apps and games?! [addsig]

Ok guys lets face it.
With those features someone who updates from P800 to P810/900 is getting:

1)65000 TFT Display.
2)UIQ 2.1 (Including themes better organizer etc.)
3)A way better Design and colors of the phone.
4)Video Recorder! Finally.
5)Smaller and thinner. Its weight is 28g less than the old one.
6)A way better, luxury real-keypad with blue leds the old one was such a crap.
7)A way better, real PDA-stylus not cheap like the old one...
8.)T9
9)Smarter job dial.
10)Bigger screen in flip close mode.
11)MP3 support for ringtones.
12)Little better camera quality
(according to mobile-review.com)

Some of the above are really important but all those features are not impress me at all. This new phone is just a perfect version of the P800 should I update?

Answer: Listen guys I am sure a lot of people here like me we bought the P800 since the first month it was out and we paid it extremely too much. For example me I paid $900.
But guess what like me like a lot of people in here I am a tech-freak!
So I defenatly want to update to the new phone!
But I am not buying the P810/900 unless I sell my p800 at least $450.
Don’t be stupid guys don’t kill your P800 by giving it away for a couple of dollars. Is just not worth it.
So here is the answer.
First you sell you P800 for about $450 and then you add $200 more and you getting your new phone.

What do you have to say?

Didn't you read the real good french test of it?? He is MUCH better then the simple rapport of the english (russian in fact) one...

They tried some software from the P800, some did perfectly work, most with some problems (colors, sound, speed,...) and some completly not!!! And they had some problems after installing the software.. they lost all languages other then english !
So we can say that is not 100% compatible, but it will be very esay to reprogram then for the publishers... but how long will that take ! loll
I stay with my P800 till all needed programs are changed, and i think that this would be when the new P-serie (P910?) will come out, around june 2004 they says....

The screen has the same proportion but not completly the same form, not sure a overlay+ will perfectly fit...

"Sales of P900 will begin in November. UK is named as the first country where these smartphones would be shipped. Then it will be available in the other European countries. The expected price of the device is about 450 GBP."

Vermania, u said u got urs from the UK the first week for 500 pounds or whatever...well maybe the guy got his way before you got it from the UK, and dont forget that it is not because it was released in the UK that it was released in his country(which i believe is greece)...so i guess it was a good deal for him.
Did you know that till last week(september 23rd ,20003) att didnt have the P800 in the US, and none of the other competitors have it yet, and SE ESHOP always runs out of P's. you have to be checking their website daily to see if they have a stock or not.
By the way, i would never buy such a phone locked, whihc i think urs was/is since you got it for a subzidized price.
It is such a shame that companies lock the P... a locked P is a useless P when you travel...

sim free means unlocked?!?! I really thought that when you buy a sim free phone that means it was not a phonew with contract(well i am glad i learnt this)
anyways, it doesnt matter if it was sim free or unlocked. as i did not emphasized in that point in my previous reply...i did emphasize in the fact of the P being released in not many places. That made it difficult to get it for the good deal you got it for. Got my point?
